Duties
Manage a new laboratory and provision of related facilities including operation and maintenance of the laboratory, procurement of laboratory equipment and regents; manage inventory of laboratory equipment and items; maintain and operate all shared laboratory facilities; establish and maintain laboratory standard operating procedures; and assist in the R&D projects where required.
Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in science and/or engineering disciplines, at least 6 years’ relevant experience; knowledge in neuroscience, stem cell culture and genomics will be an asset. A team player with a strong sense of responsibility, independent, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills; knowledge in laboratory management, laboratory building services, electrical and mechanical services is preferable; knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of laboratory testing; ability to operate standard laboratory testing equipment; knowledge of safe laboratory practices, laboratory safety equipment and safety management; and competent in MS Office.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
