Dr. Maryam Shoai is a Senior Research Fellow at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology at University College London (UCL). Trained in Physical Chemistry at UMIST (now part of The University of Manchester), Dr. Shoai transitioned to the fields of genetics and statistical genetics at the UCL Institute of Neurology in 2010.
Her research focuses on leveraging big data, genetics, and statistical methods to identify risk factors and progression variables in neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Shoai specializes in designing analytical frameworks and statistical models to understand complex genetic and clinical data. She currently collaborates closely with pharmaceutical companies, analyzing clinical trial data to enhance insights into the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
