InnoHK Hong Kong Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (InnoHK HKCeND; the Center) served as a supporting organization of the Proactive Health and Aging International Forum 2026, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 24-25 Aug 2026, under the theme “Innovation · Collaboration · Empowerment – Hong Kong Forging a New Global Hub for Ageing Solutions”. The Forum convened innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and policymakers worldwide to advance proactive health and address the opportunities and challenges of population aging.
At the exhibition, the Center showcased its latest research innovations in diagnostics and therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. The team representatives engaged in in-depth exchanges with stakeholders across research, academia, healthcare, and industry, sharing insights and exploring collaboration opportunities.
As a Forum speaker, Dr. Yuanbing Jiang delivered a thematic presentation titled “Biomarker Innovation for Early Detection and Personalized Management of Alzheimer’s Disease”. The presentation highlighted the Center’s advances in blood-based biomarkers that enable early detection, risk prediction, and proactive, personalized health management in both clinical and community settings, helping address the growing healthcare needs of an aging society.
Following the Forum, the Center welcomed a delegation from the Shanghai Elderly Care Service and Silver Industry Association. During the visit, Prof. Fanny Ip shared the Center’s R&D work and discussed translation pathways with the delegation, with a focus on advancing blood-based biomarkers toward broader adoption and greater real-world impact.
The Forum was held as part of the inaugural Global Unicorn Summit, organized by Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, featuring exhibition showcases, forum dialogues, roadshow matchmaking, ecosystem support, and innovation competitions. Serving as a cross-sector platform, the Forum fostered dialogue on accelerating proactive health and aging solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world translation, supporting Hong Kong’s development as an international innovation and technology hub.
