Duties Manage a laboratory and provision of related facilities including operation and maintenance of the laboratory, procurement of laboratory equipment and regents; manage inventory of laboratory equipment and items; maintain and operate all shared laboratory facilities; establish and maintain laboratory standard operating procedures; and assist in the R&D projects where required. Requirements Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in science and/or engineering disciplines, at least 6 years’ relevant experience; Registered Part I or Part II in HKMLT Board; knowledge in neuroscience, stem cell culture and genomics will be an asset. A team player with a strong sense of responsibility, independent, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills; knowledge in laboratory management, laboratory building services, electrical and mechanical services is preferable; knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of laboratory testing; ability to operate standard laboratory testing equipment; knowledge of safe laboratory practices, laboratory safety equipment and safety management; and competent in MS Office. The Laboratory Manager positions will facilitate the development and execution of novel scientific strategies at our state-of-the-art laboratory. The appointment will be offered a two-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
