Kin Ying Mok

Dr. Kin Ying Mok completed his MBBS at the University of Hong Kong in 1985 and subsequently received his neurology training in Hong Kong. He is a fellow of the Hong Kong College of Physicians and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. Dr. Mok began gradually switching from clinical neurological service to neurogenetics research. He obtained his PhD in neurogenetics from University College London. He continues his research work in John Hardy’s laboratory at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology and is currently a principal research fellow and team lead in the East Asian Parkinson Disease Genomics Consortium. His research interests focus on the areas of Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson disease.

Dr. Mok has published multiple papers on the genetic basis of neurological diseases including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and motor neurone disease.
